Wisconsin Weekend Excursion
July 24, 2006
I hope you guys like pictures. Because I'm not that great of a writer. Sorry for the lack introductions, but I'm confident that if you are here, its because I told you to come here.
Kristin has been prodding us to make a trip out to House on the Rock in Wisconsin. We all wanted to go, but planning is not really my strong point. Why bore you with the details, we went camping then went to the House on the Rock. Here is the crew all set to go, just waiting for Trevor to get there.

The hispanic lady on the stoup is not part off the crew. I think she wanted to feel like she was part of the crew by jumping into the photo, or maybe she was just smoking a cigarette and enjoying the day.
After a three hour drive we make it to our camp site. The ground is called Lake Joy and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to camp close to House on the Rock.

Awfully big tent for just two ladies.

The whole scary family. So the tent is up, we are getting a little bit a rain here and there, but it is tolerable, still to wet for a fire, perfect opportunity to check out that lake...joy. We all jump in and play a game that involves a ball (made out of a trailer tuxedo) and lots of shoving. I think Ryan was calling it "Three fly up," either way it made the lungs hurt, so we headed back to the site. Cracked opened the beer and liquor and threw some of Trevor's wood into the pit for a toasty fire.

Trevor fans that thang while Kristin cooks. I have the camera and a firm grip on some 7 & 7, which is a recipe for workless luxury.

We all fear meat poisoning, so we make Brownstone the honorary taste tester. But we don't tell him about his new job. Probably not the best idea in the end, considering Brownstone was vegan up until this year.

We find out that Trevor and Jennifer both love Jager.

Getting dark and drunk. I've broken cameras this way before so I put it down for the night.
DAY TWO
We wake up and check out the trailer park attached to the campgrounds. Its really pretty nice. This place was favorite.

We hang out a little longer than head out for the House on the Rock. I won't show you too many images of the place because you should really go visit it for yourself. It was totally amazing. The whole things is a 2.5 mile walk. I don't even know how to explain it all, but it was beautiful and awesome and inspirational. Just go check it out. Here are some pictures to give a taste off what it was all about.

Pneumatic bands were all over the place here.

This was one of them.

Jennifer's tattoo practically becomes a part of the painting.

GUNS!!!

Just some other crazy things I saw while I was there. THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME YOU HAVE TO GO CHECK IT OUT.

Nice shots Ross. House on the Rock is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. No pictures of the infinity room?
I got pictures of EVERYTHING, but I really wanted to post the photos of the small things I liked the most there.
I miss you man, why the fuck am I not in any of the pictures? I stalked you guys all weekend in my loin cloth from behind the bushes.
XOXO,
Chris Cross
Most amazing two day excursion I have had in a long time. I can’t wait to do it again at the end of summer. For the whole lot block party-'aight. I like this photo/blog thing you got going on. I’m thinking once I get my computer up and running again I am jumping on your coat tails and going for a ride.
p.s. I totally saw that guy behind the bushes.
