Amster-grams

Santa isn't the only one barreling down your chimney this year with a thirst for milk and the blood of Jesus. I went to Amsterdam for a week and while I was there I saw a lot of public art. I actually would have been busting my camera out a little more often, but it looks big and expensive, and I was usually in place where you don't want something that looks big and expensive. So here is a look at some of the things I saw on the walls.

These first few blurry shots are on the train from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. If you haven't been noticing, I'm not exactly a pro with this camera thing, but it was impossible to get a real good shot at the speed we were moving.

This is a little less public art and a little more store signage. This is also pretty close to where we stayed.

This work is done on a nylon sheet that is used to cover exposed scaffolding for building renovation. I wish I had taken the photo with a bit wider of an angle so I could remember how this was done. Maybe the dude just came with a big ladder.

A piece by Faile. (Sorry, to lazy to hyperlink, google it, trust me.)

This is exactly how this stencil looked on the wall. Kick down the security cameras, y'all.

Back of a little food hut.

This is probably the train to the Hague. I really wish this photo wasn't blurry, oh well.

The window sill on the ride to the Hague had some pretty funny stuff too, not sure if you can see all this, but there is a Mickey Mouse scrawl then right above it is a drawing of what appears to be a man screwing a dead cat.

This is a little alley in the Hague. I was really into the Castro tag, still am.

Later that night, we ended up at a bar and this was done on the roof in the bathroom, lighter style.

The Grand Finale! I will do a more comprehensive post on my trip soon. Thats a promise.
