So seriously, what has happened to me? Sorry I was away for so long, but life has been a bit hectic what with the end of my first year at school and searching out an internship for the summer. You know, moving and stuff. I am in Brooklyn for the summer. If you are in Brooklyn and are looking to hang out, give me a heads up. Before I start talking too much about the Big Apple, here is a quick wrap up of all that happened in the last semester.

The end of January and beginning of February was pretty crazy. There was lot of snow in Michigan and a whole lot of nothing to do. I was in and of out the doctor's office due to stress and poor eating habits. Things are better now, but you should all pay attention to the level of stress you are putting on your body. I spent a lot of this winter time painting little illustrations. I found out that I'm kind of a slow painter.

There is a lot of construction happening on the Cranbrook grounds. I really like the aesthetic of the machinery in the woods in such a snowy environment. I got tired of the cold real fast, but snow makes everything look so beautiful.

This is the path that I take when I'm feeling a bit burnt out. it helps clear the mind. And the photo on the right would be a creepy child sculpture on the grounds.

And then there was this place. I can't remember the name of the bar, but in the back room there was this thing called Feather Bowling. If you search that in Youtube, you can probably find some clips of what its all about. To sum it up in one sentence...Its a cross between bowling and shuffle board that you play in a large dirt trough. I didn't get to play but it looked like a lot of fun.

My birthday came along and my mom sent a TMNT birthday card...I made good use of it.

I went to NY for a week for my spring break in search of an internship. I stayed at my friend Caycee's apartment. This was her boob-ish looking light fixture. When I wasn't looking for work, I was being lazy hanging around her apartment.

I come back from NY and set up my studio for end of year reviews. Basically I just cleaned the place up and hung my work. Reviews consist of Artists in Residences from other departments and the Director of the school coming to your studio and discussing your work. Its an all day event and pretty draining.

Right after the reviews were over, Mike Glowacki hosted a show in Forum Gallery called
Show and Sell. I printed up 9 shirts for the show and he gave me mine own wall. Actually above my shirts are some painting by Josh Abelow. The white shirt in the way back was done by visiting artist,
Bill Fick from Cannonball Press.

Left to Right: Mike Mayer, Mike Little, and Eric Steinberg's balls.

Comora Tolliver paintings and a 'zine by Matt Walsh.

Here are my shirts from the show.

Its finally warm enough to skateboard again. I don't know what peaked my interest in skating again, but I'm trying to not hurt myself as bad this time around.

That pretty much brings you up to speed. Here is the working process of creating an illustration of a self portrait that I screen printed. That was the last project I completed before leaving school. I left a couple in progress.

Last semester in Cranbrook is pretty crazy indeed.
It has been a month since the commencement, I am still doing the preparation for applying jobs. I even bought a book called "building design portfolio". Besides that, I am trying to learn photography. And I put some plain yogurt on my face last night....
