For Father's Day I went with my high school friend Caycee Black to Coney Island. I really wanted to ride the Cyclone and thought the soon the better, even though I knew I was going to Coney for Siren Fest. I just figured I'd play it safe. This is at the front of the Haunt House ride there. I doubt Disney is going to have anything near as cool as this.

Here is a photo while waiting in line for the ride. You can see the front of a car. Christian tells me later that the graphic was done by ESPO. He has done a lot of signs in Coney and elsewhere. Graphics aside, my heart has started racing at the thought of riding a roller coaster that is 80 years old. I'm not afraid, just a little excited.

After riding, I try to document the experience with a shitty photo from my camera phone. Although the camera phone has been helpful, it totally blows. I can't wait to get back to the comfort of a decent digital.

This is the swing like kids ride at Astroland. I have other photos of sweet kids rides, but kids are in the photos and I really don't want to deal with the hassles that might become of posting those online.

This area is just a bit further down the beach at Coney. I have no idea what this used to be, but the ruins of it look interesting to me. Some how the moment felt foreign, but thats probably because everyone was speaking spanish behind me.

I went with Matt and watched this band called Services play. They were a lot of fun. The singer would wail on the top half of a high hat while the non-singer would wail on a synthesizer. Good fun. Check them if they play near you soon.

Bright and early the next morning we go to Owl's Head Skate Park located in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Its got some great bowls. One of the better places to skate in NY.

Evan and I are enjoying a little of the ol' whisky. I don't remember what we were celebrating. I don't think we were celebrating anything come to think of it.

FOURTH OF JULY! Incredible and amazing fireworks. It was kind of raining that night. Christian and I were invited to Jess's rooftop for the event. I had little-to-no expectations of what they would look like. Never mind how they looked. The sonic boom sent out by these mortars almost sent me off the back of the roof. This was hands down the most kick ass firework display I have seen to date. I was pretty amazed my phone was able to even catch a decent photo.

This shot is from my roof. I don't who these people are, but I like the grouping of everything. I think thats called composition.

The pool parties at McCarren Park Pool have been a lot of fun. This is the crowd going nuts with those long trick balloons for Erase Errata. I'm gonna go see Bonnie & Clyde tonight for the movie series they are having there.

This is a pretty random poster I saw. Please refrain from calling the number. Upcoming in the next post is subway font mosaic, Kristin visits, Matt's dogs, Museum trips, billboard rearrangements, and much much more.

Thanks for the link ross. That haunted house looks like a fun place to do acid, think about it.
